Wedding in Goa
Goa is a state in India known for its beaches, temples, and churches. Tourism is its primary industry, with most tourists concentrated in the coastal areas. Foreign tourists, mostly from Europe, arrive in Goa during the winter, while Indian tourists come during the summer and monsoon seasons. In 2011, Goa handled 2.29% of all foreign tourist arrivals in India.
As of 2013, Goa was a popular destination for budget-conscious Indian and foreign tourists, particularly Britons, who wanted to party. However, the state government was hoping to attract a more upscale demographic by making changes to the tourism industry.
